In renovating the barn & the forge the exterior has been left to reflect the age & character of the buildings.
The barn (7m x 7m approx) comprises a utility room with sink, washer, drier, fridge, two freezers, cupboard base units & worktop (all included), a tool room, wood store & stairs to a mezzanine for storage with access to wc, hand basin & shower tray.
The forge (7m x 6m approx) was working up until just prior to the second World War. It possibly dates back to the mid to late 1800's. Completely restored to ensure that the forge itself is a working model (subject to the chimney extending through the roof), it is now used as a summer kitchen & cinema. There are two sets of bellows, one dating back to 1889 & fully working. The second, smaller set possibly pre-date the larger set but are not in working repair. An anvil sits on the forge hearth. A loft ladder leads to a small mezzanine for additional storage.
There are fitted bespoke chestnut cupboards and dresser with chestnut worktops. The fridge, dishwasher and large cuisiniere are included. Door and window to the front of the forge, window to the side and door to the rear leading to the outdoor eating area.
